2017 Washington, D.C.; New York, NY, and Boston, MA Trip
Dear Parents and Students,
I am excited to announce that I will lead a group of Moore Middle School students on a USA Student Travel program to
Washington, D.C.; New York, NY, and Boston, MA. On this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, students will explore our
nation's most important historical sites and experience incomparable learning moments. This will be a trip that your
child will be talking about for years to come!
Your child will return home excited to tell you about:
• Seeing the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Declaration of Independence, and U.S. Constitution in person
• Visiting the 9/11 National Memorial at the World Trade Center site, dedicated to those who lost their
lives on September 11, 2001
• Finding inspiration from the heroes honored at D.C.'s war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery
I have chosen to travel with USA Student Travel programs because of their exceptional service, their nearly 50 years of experience, their safety record, and their preventive measures that ensure learning occurs in a safe and fun environment. I have led this program for many years now and look forward to leading it again. I will chaperone the program with other teachers as needed, and throughout the program our group will be guided by a USA Student Travel-certified Course Leader. This trip will enrich the learning experience of students, however, it is not a school activity or a school sponsored trip. We will not be attending as representatives or employees of the school. The Program Leader has the right to remove a student from this trip who does not meet acceptable behavior standards an all cancellation penalties still apply.
If it becomes necessary, adults may be waitlisted to give students first priority.
Please check out a sample itinerary on the link above or at
www.usastudenttravel.com for more details about USA Student Travel and our group's trip. If you have any questions, you can contact me via email at denise_freeman@redlands.k12.ca.us.
I would love for your child to join us on this unforgettable trip!
